Welcome,

  • I completed my Ph.D. at the department of Engineering Science and Mechanics (ESM), Virginia Tech in Engineering Mechanics and my advisor was Dr. Shane Ross. My research focused on the concepts and applications of Dynamical systems. I studied atmospheric stable and unstable time-dependent manifolds, known as Lagrangian Coherent Structures, and their role in long distance transport of particles within atmospheric currents.
  • I was a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Science (AOSC), University of Maryland and also at the School of Environmental and Biological Science, Rutgers University . I worked with Dr. Eugenia Kalnay and Dr. Enrique Curchitser, who are among the most influential scientists in the field of data assimilation and ensemble forecasting. The main focus of research was on causality analysis and data assimilation in large-scale systems.
